GOD AMONG INSECTS Calls It Quits; Announces Last-Ever Concert

October 17, 2007

GOD AMONG INSECTS, the Swedish "old-school" death metal band featuring vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula (DARK FUNERAL),guitarist Lord K (a.k.a. Kenth Philipson) (THE PROJECT HATE),bassist Tomas Elofsson (SANCTIFICATION) and drummer Tobias Gustafsson (VOMITORY),has issued the following update:

"This might not come as any huge surprise to some of you seeing we have been terribly inactive for quite some time. GOD AMONG INSECTS will split up in 2008, some four or so years later than initially planned. But first we will do a final gig and enjoy the time on stage for the last time with the INSECTS.

"GOD AMONG INSECTS will do the last-ever gig at the House Of Metal festival [in Sweden in February 2008].

"Thanx for all the the support you fuckers have given us during the years. We existed about four more years than initially planned, but now it's time to kill the Insect for good. It's been a fun ride for all of us and we will continue with our regular bands even after the demise of the bug, ofcourse.

"We look forward to this last gig and plan some seriously disturbed shit on stage. Hopefully everything works out as we want them to so we can fulfill this last zombie wish."

The House Of Metal 2008 festival will take place February 15-16, 2008 at Folkets Hus in Umeå, Sweden and will feature performances by the following artists:

FREEDOM CALL
NOCTURNAL RITES
SCAR SYMMETRY
GOD AMONG INSECTS
EASY ACTION
